Hospice Care...

well i called the insurance company today to see if we are covered for hospice on hubby.

they said no!..i almost fainted.

i talked with them a while and asked what would be covered.

Well I called the insurance company today to see if we are covered for hospice on hubby. They said NO!..I almost fainted. I talked with them a while and asked what would be covered. They said "In Home Nursing care". Well duh! I guess there is some difference.

So I called the Dr. They in turn called the insurance co. Still said NO!.I was fit to be tied. I was told all insurance companies carry hospice care.(Hubby has terminal cancer).

Well I am not one to give up!..I used to have to deal with dummies when I worked in the bank. Soooooo

I called Hospice! It is affiliated with the hospital. I wish I had called them first!. They said you have to word it the right way.."In home nursing" hospice before they will cover it!!!!

She called the insurance people and it is covered!..She still has to call the main office Monday..hopefully it is OK.

She is also looking into how long he will be covered and if it has any deductable to be met first...I am so relieved.

What really hurts is all those that would just take the first answer as gospel!

They wouldn't get the benefits they deserve!.It really hurts me to feel some who really need it are going to be take adantage of!

So hopefully Monday willl verify the good news I got today!

They are also getting some pain medication ready for when he needs it!.Also a hospital bed. He will be staying at home. No more hospitals.

It's a shame the system has to make things so difficult when someone is going through so much stress!

So never take no for an answer the first or second time..hang in there! I'm glad I did!

They had a restricted site called "The great crowd " that I was signed up for. (I used Hubby's info) but I never posted there and they deactivated me!..What nerve!

Said they needed the "space for active posters!....I never signed back on ..It was way to boring!

I need Survivor Info

had a basketball game at the highschool tonight (won 61-39) but i didn't set the vcr.

so i have no clue as to who got voted off.

i know it wasn't a hot babe as they've been gone awhile.

Ted won a new car in a challange and dinner and a messuage . He took Jan ? with him. He got on her nerves. They had too much wine and he talked when she wanted to sleep!

His vote off surprised me!.But at least he got a car..Brian is playing everyone. He also got the immunity tonight. so 2 gals and 2 guys. Next week should be interesting.Can't wait..

My Son

i have three living children.

one i gave up for adoption, so i never hear from him.

my only daughter doesn't speak to me because she hated being a jw and hated me for forcing it on her.

Wind..I know we have had our differences. But I am really glad your son is in touch. And I have a lot of respect for you for posting what you did. That took a lot!

Kids can mean so much in our lives!..I don't know if I would make it through Hubby's death if I didn't have them. I have a lot of respect for women on their own!..It scares me to death!

I really am sorry for all WE have been through beween us!..I wish I could change it all!...

Can we really fade away for good

i was wondering how long an inactive witness can stop going to meetings before the elders can disfellowship the person?

some are saying that the elders will visit inactive ones in jan,feb,march.

is there a strategy up their sleeve?

I have seen people do that when they have family or friends that are JW's. They do it so they can keep talking to them.

Are you the only one that is a JW ?.

If you are the only one..You must have some kind of reservations about leaving the religion. Maybe going to some of the websites that post questions and answers on JW beliefs or reading the Crisis of Conscience book may help you.

If you have family or friends in the religion..I can understand your reluctance. But don't you get tired of living a lie?..I guess in some cases it might be worth it.

But nobody can tell you what to do! You have to decide for yourself..

Does praying "work"?

has anybody got any hard evidence that asking for something, through prayer, actually gives them what they were asking for?.

jesus promised to give anything to them that asked.

have you asked for something (in prayer), but it hasn't been given?.

If it did work..everyones prayer's would be answered! Not just some.

And JW's put in the words" If it be God's will" in their prayers..that way when they don't have their prayers answered..it was Gods will!.

Looks like a Win Win situation!...For God!

ok, i was having a chuckle to myself this morning looking at this month's pictures on the jw calendar, which depicts the cheesy activities of the elders.

Well since Hubby was just in the hospital..this isn't too funny for me. The laison committee did visit to make sure that the hospital wasn't giving him any trouble with the blood issue. Since I had already told his Drs and the hospital.. that wasn't a problem.

But I did have to explain to Hubby and his JW Mom what they COULD take. They had no idea!. Sad!!!!

So now hubby has been out of the hospital for 3 months. He had to call "A Brother" and ask him to visit!. Well they sent another brother over that was hard of hearing..talked all about his wifes illness..and left..and fogot to say a prayer!..

So that picture does not portray the "Real witnesses". They come to the hospital where everyone can see the oh so caring witnesses..Then they are too busy to visit when no one can see!

Course I don't care if they ever come back..but hubby does. He believes it heart and soul! And he really needs them now.

Please enter some really obsene words now! And add "Those stupid JW's" after it!

I though they changed that. Didn't they change the "King of the North" to the "King of the East" and the "King of the South" to the "King of the West" ?.

I can't keep up with anything!

IMO..I feel like any country can destroy any country!.All it takes is one idiot to lose his cool and push the button! And he probably has an idiot brown nose friend to push the other one to follow suit!.

I don't have much faith in government people!. They are only human..

And that is scary!
